New Homes

Three new affordable homes for the Winchester district have been handed over at Bourne Close in Otterbourne.

The three 3-bedroom houses at Otterbourne are owned and managed by Winchester City Council.

They will be let at an affordable rent, which is well below market prices, and priority will be given to people in housing need with a local connection to Otterbourne who are registered with Hampshire Home Choice.

The houses are located on a former Council garage block.

They are designed to meet ‘Code for Sustainable Homes’ level 4 with code 5 for energy, which means that they are energy-efficient.

Cllr Steve Miller is from the city’s Business Services which includes new homes delivery:

“These three affordable homes in Otterbourne add to the five completed recently in Itchen Abbas and together contribute to 160 planned over the next five years.

“The project demonstrates our commitment to provide much-needed homes for those in housing need.”
