The Winchester Short Film Festival 2014 culminates on Saturday (15th) with a glittering awards ceremony to celebrate the best of the entries this year.

Winchester Today is proud to have been involved with the festival as media partner since its inception last year.

More than 150 entries were submitted for the 2014 festival. These have now been whittled down to the final 27 over nine categories.

Organiser John Hayes says the number of entrants was staggering: “That’s all down to the abundance of dedicated talent in Hampshire. Congratulations to everyone who entered and good luck!”

Winners and runners up of each category will be announced at the Award Ceremony at the Performance Hall, Winchester Discovery Centre.

The evening will include award presentations, guest speakers, clips of shortlisted films on the Big Screen and music by The Golden Age.

The Award for Best Short Film will be decided by the judges ‘live’ on the night. Click here for tickets.

Hope you can join us on the night!
