Security Stepped Up In London

Security has been stepped up at Heathrow and Gatwick airports in the lights of the attacks in Brussels this morning. A high visibility police presence is now operating.



Brussels itself is in lockdown, with people told to stay at home. The Belgian PM Charles Michel has called for calm and solidarity.

Here, the Prime Minister David Cameron has told the Commons that he’s “shocked and concerned” by the events in Brussels at Zaventem airport and Maelbeek metro station.
