Anyone who took part in the Winchester Half yesterday must be looking up at the clear blue sky and sunshine today – and wishing it was going to be run today instead!
Our picture shows Winchester MP Steve Brine and the city’s Mayor Frank Pearson seeing off the runners at the start line in appalling weather conditions.
Many have taken to Twitter this morning to say how much they ‘enjoyed’ having the wind and rain in their face during the beginning of the run.
As always though, there are many comments praising the superb organisation.
We would like to send our congratulations to everyone who took part in the race and managed to finish, as well as the spectators, organisers, volunteers and marshals.
Entries are already being welcomed for next year, which will take place on 22 September 2019.
