City Go From Strength To Strength with another win at the weekend…

Winchester City FC’s success story this season continues as the club are now unbeaten in all competitions since Boxing Day.

Saturday 16th February saw the Citizens travel to high-flying Evesham United, and they returned victorious with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Captain, Jamie Barron, and prolific front man, Tyrell Mitford.

City are now just outside the play-off places with games in hand on the teams above.

Mitford scored a late header to seal the points as he continues to build on his impressive form this season.

Mitford back in September scored a hat-trick at Merthyr Town in the FA Cup, and was the catalyst behind City winning an award from FA Cup Factfile for ‘Performance of the FA Cup’.

City also have a Southampton Senior Cup tie to look forward to after disposing of Folland Sports, Montefiore Halls and Bashley on the way.

The club are now one game away from a showcase final at Southampton FC’s St. Mary’s Stadium later this year.

Still to come – City will welcome local rivals, AFC Totton, in a re-arranged game at the Simplyhealth City Ground in several weeks’ time.
