Hat Fair 2019 has got off to a warm and colourful start with hundreds of schoolchildren taking part in the Hat Fair Carnival Parade.

The carnival route started at The Great Hall and finished at Abbey Gardens.

As you can see, there was a fabulous display of costumes made by local schools with the theme of ‘Fabulous’.

Ghost Caribou by Thingumajig Theatre, Blue Apple and Out of Bounds accompanied the children.
