Winchester City were knocked out of the FA Trophy at Thame United on Tuesday evening, losing the game 5-3.
However, the replay will be probably be best remembered for a flare let off by someone in the crowd that stopped play.
City found themselves 2-0 down early on on a chilly night but Jamie Barron reduced the deficit with a low effort.
Thame then came on strong later in the first-half to go in 4-1 up at half-time.
Barron was on target once again shortly after the restart with a fine curling effort. But the three-goal cushion was restored once again as the hosts made it 5-2.
Play was then stopped after the home supporters set off a flare when celebrating their fifth goal. There were no stewards or officials to put the flare out so smoke surrounded the pitch for several minutes before it settled down and play could resume.
Half-time substitute, Rob Carr, made it 5-3 when he fired home from close range off the crossbar, but Thame held on to earn their place in the First Qualifying Round at home to Frome Town.
