There’s nothing like expert teaching from leading lights on the West End stage, and that’s exactly what Perins students have been able to experience.
Once again the wealth of talent at Perins has been recognised outside the parameters of the school, with some of the students offered a wonderful opportunity.
They have been invited to share the stage with some of the West End’s stars to be part of a Christmas showcase to be held at Perins later this month.
The Christmas Concert ‘Baaa Humbug: A Stocking Full of Show-tunes is a humorous evening with musical anecdotes, songs from the musicals and much Christmas merriment.
The students will be singing alongside West End and International musical theatre performers James Hume (Mary Poppins, Titanic, Les Misérables), Paul Wilkins (Hair, Les Misérables, The Dreamers) and locally born Earl Carpenter who has performed the iconic role of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera as well as Inspector Javert in Les Miserables over 2000 times around the world including on Broadway.
Perins is understandably thrilled to be participating.
Earl Carpenter invited the students to take part in a workshop last Friday to get them ready for the concert.
You can see the Perins students perform on Saturday 21st December at 3pm & 7pm. You can click here to book tickets
